Ziinga Camera Winners

Good news to all Camera enthusiasts who have a knack for Penny Bidding! Ziinga.com has digital cameras as part of its prizes. They got compact DSLRs in major brands- Canon, Samsung and Sony.

By signing up for membership or their trial period, you have a chance to win at their live auctions. Well, some of these winners were able to win their DSLRs at less than ₤3, but I'm sure they all made the effort of watching over their bids at the very last second.

Ziinga is a penny auction site in the UK. They also have tech gadgets such as Apple MacBooks and iPads that you could win. Yes, they do have great deals. If you don't want the hassle of bidding you can also go for buying the item at less than its average market value. Not bad :)

Canon Ixus 500 HS

The Canon Ixus 500 HS is a good choice for those already happy with their smartphone's photos and movie clips, but looking for a cute, little camera with a long zoom and faster performance.

The Canon Ixus 500 HS' photo quality is good to very good, but overall disappointing compared with past HS-model Ixus cameras. Even at its lowest ISO settings, subjects look soft and noisy when viewed at 100 percent. Unfortunately, that means the 10-megapixel resolution doesn't give you much room for enlarging and cropping.

The 500 HS has a fairly large assortment of shooting options, but almost all of them are automatic modes, meaning there's no full control over shutter speed and aperture. The shooting-mode switch on the camera's top has two options: One for Auto and one for all of its other mode.

If you're after significantly better results, though, you'll need to go with a slightly larger camera.

iPhone Cameras Topples DSLRs on Flickr

According to Flickr's massive 51 million strong registered users, the iPhone 4 has their vote as the most popular camera on the photo-sharing site, surpassing DSLR greats- the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, the Nikon D90, Canon EOS Rebel T2i including the revered Canon EOS 7D. Which is not say that the iPhone matches any of those cameras in photo quality, just that it’s the camera in the zeitgeist of the top photo-sharing site. And that’s among both cameras and phones. The four most popular camera phones on Flickr currently? The iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS — in that order

Sony Alpha NEX-7

The Sony Alpha NEX-7 takes excellent RAW photo and solid video quality; beautiful, functional yet relatively compact design; expensive for an essentially nonprofessional camera.

Physical controls are one of the NEX-7's strong points, with more buttons and dials than the two lower models in the series. The rear 3-inch LCD features a hinged design so you can tilt the screen up or down. Its 921k-dot resolution is superb, and the wide 16:9 aspect ratio makes it possible to show settings on the display without cluttering the Live View image frame. The camera is also the only NEX with a built-in electronic viewfinder.
